frequently asked questions

(and their answers)

1. When will _____ be back in stock?

I typically have restocks every 1-2 months. These vary in theme and in what will be included. I often rotate between larger updates, pre-orders, and smaller themed updates. Signing up for my newsletter is the best way to stay informed about restocks as I always send out announcements, though I always post lots of things on instagram as well.

2. Do you take custom orders?

The short answer is no. I very rarely accept custom work as it stresses me out. BUT every once in a while I will take on a project that feels like a good fit and is really exciting to me, so you can always reach out just in case. The worst I can tell you is “no.” I can however refer you to a few other ceramic artists that ARE interested in making custom work!

3. Do you ship to _______ country?

I only ship to the US and Canada at this time. I hope to offer international shipping someday, especially to Australia, but it just isn’t within my capacity right now.

4. Where do you get ______ tool?

I use a lot of different tools and supplies throughout my process, so it would be crazy to try to list them all here. On my instagram profile you can find a “tools + stuff” tab in my highlights section and I have lots of info listed there like stamps, stamp pads, tape, and other things. I can say that I buy most of my supplies from Clay King because they are the very best! But there are lots of other ceramics suppliers as well.

5. I have always wanted to get into pottery! Where should I start?

I get this question A LOT and my #1 answer is to find a pottery/ceramics studio close to you and take a beginners class. You could even take a one-time lesson or workshop. There is so so so so so so so much to learn, and so many tools and supplies necessary to get started. Unfortunately ceramics is not always a very accessible medium because of this. But thankfully, there are tons of pottery studios that offer classes from experienced teachers to get you started. If you have already taken a class and are looking for more tutorials to improve, I always recommend @floriangadsby (especially his youtube) and @limyanksystudios.

6. Are your pieces dishwasher safe?

I always include a care card with every order, but sometimes things are received as gifts! The short answer is yes. HOWEVER I always recommend handwashing to prolong the life of your piece. This is true for any item that is handmade. Those drastic temperature changes can be hard on pottery over time. BUT that being said, if you do choose to load it in the dishwasher, I promise the letters aren’t going to melt off or anything ;)

Same goes for the microwave, with the exception of luster pieces.
